At American universities, coaches for men's sports make over $800,000/year on average, across all sports, from football to lacrosse. Most sports don't make net income at most universities, so are tax-subsidized. Professors make an average of $92,000. Does this make sense?

But how do you pay different athletes what they're worth with Title IX? Look at how much revenue big time FBS programs generate vs. Women's Soccer. Seems to me that legal hurdles would prevent a market-based solution.
