At American universities, coaches for men's sports make over $800,000/year on average, across all sports, from football to lacrosse. Most sports don't make net income at most universities, so are tax-subsidized. Professors make an average of $92,000. Does this make sense?
Social psychology has been, historically. My field, evolutionary psychology, isn't. Most of psych is Lefty, but not as much as the social sciences or humanities.

Robert Kaplan says that in Eastern Europe, the academia generally leans right (which surprised me and I'm not sure if it's true).
