Minor correction, instead of "Law professor Amy Wax" also consider... B.S. Yale, summa cum laude. (Biophysics and biochem) Marshal Scholar, Oxford. (Philosophy, psychology, physiology) M.D. Harvard, cum laude (w/ dist. in neurosci) Consulting neurologist. J.D. Columbia.

We are talking bona fide genius, polymath, force-of-nature, all-round badass, academic superstar. This woman can treat strokes, argue cases before the Supreme Court and give a lecture on Kant in one day. And these fools think they can axe the Wax?

What you've written here is untrue. I am one of Amy Wax's colleagues. We did not freak out. More important, we have not "tried to get her punished." Further, Prof. Wax has not responded to substantive responses that have been made. See links at https://twitter.com/gelbach/status/964722862035742721 ….

What’s your evidence that Wax’s colleagues tried to get her punished? No Penn Law faculty member has called for her to be silenced. In fact they have tried to engage with her views.
-
You don't think social and professional ostracism is a punishment? Her colleagues got many others to dog-pile on to Wax, by leveraging social media and mainstream media, which immediately turned ad hominem. Their lip service to free speech came across as totally disingenuous.

What a simplistic question. Also shows a cartoon history in your mind. I don't think i'm going to be able to break you out of your pre-loaded pro-capitalism propaganda. It's generally very extensive and self-referentially bulwarked even while being incorrect. Thickly discursive.

"The Invention of Capitalism" by Perelman.

You have yet to cite any statistics. Posting the name of some obscure book that is clearly a basis of social propaganda and asking anyone who opposes your viewpoint to sift through it is not an effective means of debate. I would add that you have not refuted a single point made.

Well in my experience, people of a certain attitude are bullheaded and set on their cranky opinions.

You may not like the facts, but there is a plethora of evidence that supports her opinions. It is not toxic to say that single parenthood is bad, given that it is the number one predictor of poverty. By trying to silence ideas you disagree with you are not helping anyone.
