      She was just making an off-the-cuff remark during a Q&A. But as an aspie libertarian, I'm OK with it. Aspies are better at thinking systematically about complex problems without getting distracted by reactive over-empathizing. That can be a strength in thinking about policy.

          One could argue that "neurodiversity" is perhaps more important to political and technological progress than the sorts of diversity that seem to be valued by mainstream society.

          So long as one remembers that thinking about policy is a means, not an end. It's easy for theoreticians to over-emphasize the importance of theory. (Think of great artists with little schooling and art instructors with no art in them.)
