Who is arguing for the blank slate?
MSM logic: Believing in a Flat Earth is ridiculous, because #evidence. Also, believing in the Blank Slate is reasonable, despite 150 years of research in evolutionary biology, comparative neuroscience, and behavior genetics.

This selective anti-science to suit group dogma is prevalent on both ends of the spectrum. Left: Vaccines, evolutionary biology / Right: Climate science, macroevolution (for "young Earth" Christians), etc. Surely more examples than this, but it's pervasive.

I disagree with this. Same case could be made for any of the issues I mentioned. You seem to be zeroing in on climate b/c that happens to be where you personally take issue (apologies if that is a mischaracterization). I am on "left" and hate that the above ascribed to "left"

I remember reading the philosopher John Gray's book Straw Dogs years ago. He said that humanity has not yet caught up with the logic of Darwin. We are just a violent, rapacious ape, like any other animal. That is at variance with both Christianity & Marxism. That just changed me.
