I’ve been thinking that saying the MSM has a left bias is the wrong way to look at it. Some of their biases are certainly leftish, some are right, and some are just a bit weird. They may have their own special kind of bias.
The MSM getting damp for North Korea shouldn't surprise anyone. Amoral propagandists know they can always flourish under authoritarianism regimes.

Possibly to fill out the story there’s a sort of celebrity/reality-show/soap-opera bias. Perhaps the kind of explanation that would explain fetishizing both Ivanka and Kim’s sister (no equivalence intended).

I suspect the reason is far tamer and leas morally self-satisfying. Many believe engagement with loons may ultimately make them less loony and avoid much greater suffering in war. Honest disagreement, not evil duplicity.
