I'm reading @sapinker's #EnlightenmentNow and @jordanbpeterson 12 Rules For Life simultaneously.
This is a fascinating pair of books that sets up a Hegelian dialectic between Enlightenment and Counter-Enlightenment thought for our modern times.
Do you think it's mostly a tension between verbally articulable, easily-testable, explicit claims (Enlightenment) versus hard-to-verbalize, harder-to-test, implicit traditions that may include a hidden logic of their own (Counter-Enlightenment, Chesterton, NRx)?

Yes, that's one aspect. The hidden logic lends itself to obscurantism quite frequently.
@jordanbpeterson's work and philosophy is really more in line with the folks like Burke and Jung, both of whom are really Counter-Enlightenment figures. -
