Well, @jordanbpeterson is in the crossfire between SJW Leftists and anti-Christian science-fans, and his 'extremist traditionalism' annoys them both. Plus, there's mountains of envy when public intellectuals can monetize ideas fast through Patreon.

One of Peterson's greatest achievements is that he has simultaneously convinced internet atheists to read the Bible and Christian conservatives to base their arguments on the reality of evolution. Wins for everyone!

Good point, though I expect a lot of christians didn't understand the symbology of the bible as peterson explains it and he has probably got a lot of christians reading the bible for the first time in a long time as well.
