Yes. This authoritarianism on the Left has taken many of us by surprise. Noticed only undercurrents of it pre-2014. Then it exploded on the scene.

The university system used to embrace iconoclasm. At faculty meetings everyone loves to talk about “critical thinking” but no one seems to understand anymore that this means questioning everything. Thus more and more we can only graduate sheep
