It's a good principle, but it's not an ideology.
Any ideology simple enough to be understood by most people is too simple to guide good policy.

Any ideology too complex to be understood by most people is sufficiently complex that administrators of policy based on that ideology can turn the policy to their own advantage.

Those aren't ideologies, they're mottos.

Insightful posts today, but I sort of agree with
@Philassie on this one. Those mottos are pieces of well tested ideologies (e.g religions) that are far simpler than anything proposed by the "new left". Less is more.

There's good policy, and good procedures. Procedures can be complex, to fit the chaos that is reality. Policies can be simple things that we have agreed to, understand, and follow
