One reason why citizens should learn about guns is that some of them will end up on juries, deciding cases in which a murderer claims that his gun just 'went off accidentally'. That is extremely unlikely with almost all modern firearms. Ignorance has costs.

We had Military Education classes here, with Polygon practice. I can shoot a moving target 10 times /10 10s, at least, a couple of years ago - 3 times /3 10s, static target, rifle (it's genetical - my ancestors, my brother, my daughter was told it's a Talent; 1/2
