So it's a mathematical reality, is it a biological reality? Is there evidence for biological causes for g, that aren't correlations?
The g factor correlates with nerve conduction velocity, brain size, body symmetry, genetic outbreeding, and polygenic scores from DNA markers. And it's 80% heritable. What would it mean to identify 'causes' beyond such correlations?
Despite all of that, there is no neurophysiological theory of g. Those correlations arise since the brain is a part of the body taking the IQ test. Identify causes, what is causing differences in g? Those correlations you named aren't causes.
