A fun past-time: whenever one scientist on Twitter calls another scientist a 'pseudo-scientist', go to Google Scholar, type in both their names, and compare numbers of scientific citations to their work. This is often quite informative.

Many scientists in private industry are discouraged from publishing their work. You might be drawing the wrong conclusions by focusing solely on published literature.

Good point. But in my experience, private sector scientists rarely accuse other scientists of being pseudo-scientists.
