A fun past-time: whenever one scientist on Twitter calls another scientist a 'pseudo-scientist', go to Google Scholar, type in both their names, and compare numbers of scientific citations to their work. This is often quite informative.

There is a lot of poor quality work on pre-print servers, e.g. arXiv. It stays there, never to surface again, let alone end up as citable peer-reviewed research.
