Lab meat will become the norm within 10-15 years, and our kids will wonder how we could have ever supported the current meat industry. Until then, I think offsetting is quite a reasonable strategy for people who don't want to go full vegan.
If lab fats are anything to go by, lab meat will be a crime against humanity, but it's ok because you can virtue signal while killing yourself and your kids--the only animals whose welfare you're not supposed to care about.
