Open letter from Nathan Rambukkana to Lindsay Shepherd (re: incident at Wilfrid Laurier University) https://www.wlu.ca/news/spotlights/2017/nov/open-letter-to-my-ta-lindsay-shepherd.html … This looks like a decent apology.pic.twitter.com/ALKXWj0Gzk

Yup, I agree
That's not I got from reading that. His *original* point was that Lindsay needed to give more context before showing a clip of JP. He's just restating that. And he's sorry he said "Hitler" bc of backlash. He still holds the views just won't say them that way now
I don't think that's true, the rest of the letter also suggests he's changed his mind or at least reconsidered his beliefs
She doesn’t seem too thrilled with the apology but I agree, an honest rethinking should be celebrated.

I might agree with you if a) the apology was not written under duress, and b) I hadn't heard the recording.
These people - Rambukkana and his co-bullies - are obscene caricatures of legitimate academics, and as we now see, sniveling moral cowards, without the courage of their (questionable) convictions. They need to go.
