If they are truly more moral than us, and considering they must have been as moral as us at some point, then they would understand why we appear as evil as we do and allow us to evolve, perhaps even give us a hand. Paternalistic aliens.

What earth resources could possibly be of interest to them? Seems to me that anything from earth could be obtained more easily elsewhere.

E.g., if you want H2O, O2, or metals, asteroids or moons of Saturn are better. Lower gravity and no chance of apes lobbing nukes at you.
