Evolutionary psychology doesn't have or need an emotional foundation. It's a fact about a causal history of the brain and its mind. Anyone is free to make of that fact what they want. Only false beliefs need emotional foundations. For true beliefs it suffices that they be true.

That's true in principle for rational cognitive agents. But it may not be enough to motivate success in grad school, for example.

Everyone who spends their lives working in a theoretical framework develops an emotional connection to the framework, of some sort. But the connections to political views can be quite diverse and idiosyncratic.

Even physics, astronomy needed some "emotional foundations" in the past in order to evolve. I think Ev. psychology doesnt make an exception. A little bit of Feyerabend rereading would be helpful in this regard
