These studies are a joke, and have been since Galton and early eugenics. Of course intelligence is explained by genetics. But it is the interaction with the environment that ultimately dictates everything. We don't understand intelligence well enough yet to draw good conclusions.

When people begin to realize (if they do) that they can't nurture everyone toward equal educational outcomes, one of two things will happen: i) people will access CRISPR technology to enhance their babies intelligence; ii) they will find ways to handicap those who have high IQ.

...kind of like Vonnegut's "Harrison Bergeron" story. Either way, people won't just accept this -- equality of outcome must be achieved somehow.
