Why does the Left love creepy polysyllabic euphemisms that obscure reality? 'Underprivileged' means 'poor'. Why not just say 'poor'?

"Underprivileged" is a thick concept http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thick_concept …. "Poor" not so much.

Good reference. 'Thick concept' seems to mean 'dripping with ideological moralizing'?

The stigma of the word. It’s used a lot to denigrate. Look at any customer service survey.

"Underprivileged" seems more like a chronic condition. When Trump had more liabilities than assets, he was not underprivileged or poor.

Right. Underprivileged expands as less privileged and is only a statement that people are not sampling actions from the same distributions.
