      Totally wrong. *how* to optimize something socially is an issue of evidence-based policy experiments, which are really hard. Not just math.

      "Evidence-based policy" is driving blindly to risk. There was no "evidence" of a 2008 crash in the last century, but it happened.

          No, but evidence is better served to wreck bad policy than affirming good policy. Using evidence in a "skeptical empiricist" way is fine.
