I'm very mixed on them. On one hand, they do important work. On the other, they do it poorly. They shouldn't be thought-police.
Thought-policing is pretty much all they do at the moment. They spend more on fund-raising than on providing any actual legal services.

I like the work they do tracking hate groups. They provide much of the data. They are also an important lobby.
