BTW, I know Picasso _could_ paint with skill and virtuosity; I'm just appalled that he _didn't_ do that after his early 20s.

He did, and even it might seem less obvious. To some extend, cubism is a pure display of skills & virtuousity.

Wow, I bet you think Jazz is also overrated too. The thing is, it is alot easier to "render" something as it approaches definable form.

I personally don't like jazz, but I can see that it requires formidable skill, practice, artistry, teamwork, etc.
