My persisting (if perhaps ignoble) regret is that Gould didn't live long enough to be confronted with the reanalysis of Morton's skulls.
The thing is, I don't think he would have cared. He always showed an epic capacity for confirmation bias.

@danieldennett talk about correcting him on his teaching material then seeing him teach it again next year without caring -
Gould's hatred of evolutionary psych also kept many talented researchers from getting tenure-track jobs. He was impervious to evidence.
