Ah, I see. So they're basically conflating separate points. I can see how they'd make that mistake though. It's not necessarily malicious.
But @SamHarrisOrg took great pains to be careful on these points, as did @charlesmurray. Not an easy mistake if they listened carefully

I think I'm a pretty careful listener, and I still thought the Vox piece was accurate. I get the distinction now though.
