I don't think you can be both. They are in direct conflict which is why PC scientists say such silly things about taboo issues

I suppose some of them can convince themselves of their own silly ideas--hard to write an 800 pg book on it otherwise I'd think.

Maybe. Do you believe The Mismeasure of Man was anything but a disingenuous, political tract? Gould was too smart to not know better.

Mismeasure of Man (1979) was almost excusable given empirical uncertainties at the time. The 'revised' 1996 edition was outright fraud.
