I don't resent people for blocking lots of people (I do it sometimes too) but it seems strange to do if you're a blue checkmark pundit.
I'll block anyone who is annoying, without a second thought. Why not? Nobody has a right to troll anyone.

I mute more than block, as some take blocking to be a badge of honor, a sign of victory somehow.

Then again, I'm not a major target. Worst trolling I normally get is people wanting to tell me about Jesus.
