If you believe passionately in X, but can't imagine any evidence that would change your mind about X, then you're an ideologue about X.

@primalpoly a bad person? a dumb person? what is the value you are assigning to dogma, or people who hold dogmatic beliefs?
I think people should be able to articulate good reasons for their moral beliefs, even obvious ones like 'slavery is bad'.

why? isn't 'rationalization' pejorative because sometimes the rational answer is Wrong?
