i'll admit that sometimes discussions of things like colonialism in science make me uncomfortable too - BUT THIS IS THE WHOLE EFFING POINT
Isn't the point to promote government support for science rather than to feel virtuously uncomfortable? Or did we give up on that?

Science that won't address the uncomfortable helps perpetuate oppression AND has blind spots that weaken its findings.
