Yeah but in Europe liberal usually include everything from classic liberal to social liberalism. In the US socialists seem to be fall under the liberal tent. I guess it's an effect of the two party system.
Yep. The term 'liberal' doesn't travel well across the Pond.

Yeah, I guess social liberal is what best describes me. It means that I want taxes to finance a social safety net, I am pro unions, but otherwise for a free market and don't subscribe to marxist ideas.
