Because so much of the 'trump is bad' circlejerk was absolutely fucking retarded, done in bad faith with gleeful misinterpretation of facts, I felt like I couldn't trust any of it, and so it took me waaay longer to come to the conclusion that trump is in fact bad.
The heartbreaking truth of it is, in an ideological hegemony disguised as a plutocratic duopoly that's pretending to be a democracy, 'good' and 'bad' are always _excruciatingly_ relative.

Which ideology is hegemonic at this point? There has always been a tension between left and right liberalism, along with traditionalism, and now authoritarian leftism has hegemony in much of our culture on certain issues. The battle now seems to be over Enlightenment principles.
