PS I'm open-minded about Parler. But what's to keep it from - being taken over (financially or socially) by people who want to destroy it? - smeared & stigmatized just like Gab was? Genuine question. Does Parler have built-in protections against these two huge problems?

I’m a double agent. Although, I do spend more time on Twitter and I’m not nearly as conservative as most of the people on Parler. There are moderate types too, but I don’t feel 100% at home there yet.

Stated perfectly. Feel the same.

The purged have no choice, and their fans likewise have no choice if they want to keep following them. I’m on both, as a fan.

I’ll be staying right here. On deathground. It’s the only way. “If you fight with all your might, there is a chance of life; where as death is certain if you cling to your corner.” - From Sun Tzu.

It would be prudent to set up Parler as a platform for people who need to get away from the echo chambers to go to have relevant discussions, regardless of position, while continuing to battle it out on here.

Especially as Parler REQUIRES a login to just see the content. I'll never do that and I guess I am not alone.
-
Plus a phone number. Those two things alone must be significantly limiting its reach.

There's strength in the big move to Parler this week. But the battle is still here
