One of the good things about capitalism, which is sadly lacking in institutions not subject to market discipline, is forced empirical testing/engagement with reality. Flawed ideologies can survive in govt, NGOs & universities etc. In business you go broke and get eliminated.

PS its one reason to not to be too pessimistic about the outlook for the West. Govt & other politicised institutions are broken, but biz in aggregate is forced to adhere to scientific method and can operate largely independently of ideological idiocy - up to a point at least.

Some apps will only show you matches within 5 years of your age. So for me I had to lie and subtract 25 or 30 years, just to find people suitable.

I don't know what okcupid was like in your area, but in my area, just about all of the girls that used that app were the middle class, studentish, progressive types. It makes sense thats the direction it went. PoF had more earthy matches.

PPS wokism is a giant tax on the productive, but flawed govt programs and liberal agendas have been a large burden on the productive economy for the past 50+ years and weve endured. A lot of woke corporate behaviour is motivated by avoiding govt lawsuits and mitigating PR risk.
