I'm not _afraid_ of centipedes. I just hate them with an incandescent rage, and they disgust me beyond all measure.

We really need an open-source map of disgust sensitivities to temperament (and ethnography, childhood experiences....) I'd like to see "heat mapping" of psychometric data as well, I need to write a package to throw D3.js at open psychometrics

It is odd what critters one can't stand. I used to have wasp-phobia, but got over it (still find hymenopterans meh). I *really* don't like flies in general (except for hoverflies, syrphidae). Turns out a surprising number of entomologists have spider phobia: 6 legs good, 8 bad.
