We need to do simultaneously do two things: 1) Honor the police who do a difficult job well. Pay them better and do whatever it takes to recruit quality individuals. 2) Root out the sociopaths and incompetents while mproving training and rebuilding forces with bad cultures.
Yes, and also 3) Root out the systemic anti-police propaganda that makes it harder to do safe, effective police work that keeps the peace in our neighborhoods

Absolutely. I get particularly annoyed by all the videos showing the police roughly arresting someone while clipping out the reason for it. Here in Madison we had two statues destroyed in response to a video like this.
