Any advice for how to balance applying/researching postdocs while working hard to finish the PhD?? Feeling a tad stressed realizing I need to begin focusing on applications, especially without the conference networking I was banking on... #phdchat #postdoc @AcademicChatter
Look at it this way: your dissertation only has to be good enough to pass & get your degree (few people will ever read it). Your postdoc is the launchpad for your whole career -- an absolutely crucial time for research & networking. IMHO, invest more in the postdoc search.
