This was a great read, thanks for sharing. I feel bad for this chap (and all the other poor chaps) who had to try learn Chinese before Pleco was invented. Pleco is the only reason I can't do without my smart phone anymore.

For the past 3-4 years I am witnessing such a push for chinese prod in the entertainment industry (Netflix, Hulu, Hollywood) that nobody seems to make a big fuss out of. And all this Marxist BS indoctrinated into our kids is horrifying. But nah. Sharpening my shooting skills.
