I lived in Britain for 9 years, and @guardian was always the most self-righteous & viciously partisan of the UK newspapers. It delighted in smearing & ruining anyone who didn't support their 'progressive' agenda.

The petition against @guardian is ridiculous & stupid, and I don't support it. But there is a satisfying level of karma.

The petition isn't coming from the BLM/bring down statues side, it's coming from the people who are opposed to them. It's saying 'Ok, so you want anything with links to slavery/racism bringing down, fine, let's take their hypocritical paper'. Good for the gander and all that :)
