Within 10 years, will the Supreme Court decide that 'polyamorous vs. monogamous' is a legally protected dimension of 'sexual orientation' under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act?
Nope. for most traits it's 50% additive genetic variance, and about 50% 'non-shared environment' (mostly random effects) that do _not_ reflect parenting. Shared env't (including parenting) often has negligible effects on traits.

Fascinating! Has that been show true in humans and not just plants and pets?

But im most curious about home environments that are neglectful or abusive, or exposes children to above normal (not random) amounts of conflict.
