Within 10 years, will the Supreme Court decide that 'polyamorous vs. monogamous' is a legally protected dimension of 'sexual orientation' under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act?

To answer this, I’d have to make a guess about how well polyamorous people protect and rear children, which I’m not willing to do. Nowhere near enough data exists. My instinct says they dont do this well. But maybe I’ll be proven wrong over time.
Behavior genetics suggests that the details of the rearing environment don't matter nearly as much as people think it does.

Yes, I’m aware. AFAIK (Pinker’s Blank Slate & Haidt’s work) its something like a ~50/50 split re: nature vs nurture for influencing a child’s adult personality. ~50% that a parental team influences still needs to be done well. I’m not confident (yet) that polyamory will do that.

Nope. for most traits it's 50% additive genetic variance, and about 50% 'non-shared environment' (mostly random effects) that do _not_ reflect parenting. Shared env't (including parenting) often has negligible effects on traits.
