What do you think can be done to counter their moves? Ideas of reason and freedom of inquiry are better for understanding and solutions but worse for political theater. If you play their game, in some ways, it goes against those very principles one is defending.
The moves used to defend against submissions aren't the same as those use to impose submissions. There may be some ways we can learn to defend without sacrificing our principles.
