Why not remember that they might not want to catch or spread the virus? Isn't that enough justification, beyond those more extreme cases mentioned?

Is mask-wearing in the US these days *that* uncommon (outside of protests and riots, where it clearly seems to be common, judging from the footage I see)?

At the market in West Los Angeles this week, 100% that I saw were wearing masks.

This is exactly what my wife and I do. Benefit of the doubt. Better to live life that way I think. Someone speeding down the freeway? Instead of being pissed off, think maybe they are trying to get to the hospital for an emergency. No sweat

If it was me, I would walk up to the person, remove my mask, say while coughing “sorry I was showing symptoms so I was trying to protect people”. Right in their face.
