I never unfollow people for opinions. I only unfollow if people unfollow me or if people display a deliberate avoidance of discussion and resort to insults et cetera...

Pretty much my standards as well. I want to know what everyone says and thinks. And I could never improve if I wasn't exposed to new information, either. What pains me most is to realize this standard is not universal, not even close to common.

I actually started following ppl Specifically, ppl who I normally disagree with This thing got real divisive. I’m actively trying to listen to different views. I still disagree w some of these ppl. But I better understand where they’re coming from

I've had a reasonably steady churn of new and dropped followers, but that's typical for anyone who's not neatly lined-up with one or the other sides of any ongoing cultural rift. It would be interesting if the algorithms disrupted bubbles by inserting random tweets into feeds.

I’ve muted some people (temporarily) for saying some really unhinged stuff, but no unfollows. I intentionally follow a great number of people with whom I disagree on here. Following emphatically does NOT equal endorsement for me.
