Defunding the police doesn't stop them from showing up to a routine 911 call It takes away their military grade weapons and forces them to enforce the law in way that actually serves and protects the community rather than oppresses it

Defunding police means police don't get paid, so they take other jobs, and there are no police to respond to 911 calls. What part of this confuses you?

Abolish the police and you'll have the Sinaloa cartel taking over control of the neighbourhood instead. Is that better. And people don't rob banks to get food, they do it to get rich. Just line white collar criminals.

Clearly you have no interest in reading the link I shared above, it might challenge all that sweet, sweet confirmation bias.

I read the link. Local gangs will take over control once they gaim the monopoly of violence they will ruthlessly exploit it for their own self interest. You will have Crips and Bloods controlling the streets, not a loving community of peaceful neighbours.
