The virus doesn't care whether your proximity to hundreds of others is driven by righteous fury at perceived injustice, or by the idle impulse to cruise bars & cheer for sportball teams. Proximity is as proximity does.

It’s even worse than that. 100K protestors are not 100x more effective than a 1K protestors. But a 100K gathering is much more than a 100x contagious than a 1K gathering (even with masks). Tactics: the protestors should spread out geographically or temporally to max/min
