they’re just arguing backwards. It’s one thing to suggest that facial hair or hair in general has ballistic benefit It is another to argue that humans as well evolved or for this reason specifically, instead of it being the base reasoning for a now-vestigial adaption

It's funny... I always see beards as needless weight they could have shaved, and extra friction on the chin in the UFC. Would say I've seen the opposite.
