It's mostly about perception though. Democrats and Republicans are product of different programs activated by the same cues. One sees effort where the other sees sheer luck. The rest is coalition. What worries me is the capacity of most people to learn to be aware of biases

I don't share your optimism. The ideology of "the other" can simply be reframed as genetic inferiority. We've already seen hints of this, e.g. Google trends "Is liberalism a mental illness"
