In my 1993 dissertation (which became 'The Mating Mind'), I thanked several authors & musicians for inspiration including Laurie Anderson, Buckethead, Pat Califia, Mary Gaitskill, Ursula Le Guin, David Lynch, Vladimir Nabokov, Siouxsie Sioux, & Andrei Tarkovsky.
