I don’t understand people who seem to have a casual belief in the supernatural or ghosts. If I believed in goats, I feel like I would be scared *all the time*, not go about my life like everything is fine, because a ghost could come haunt me like whenever right?

Plus if you believed in ghosts, how could you not spend your entire life trying to learn more about them? It would be by far the most interesting phenomenon in the world, with surprising implications in practically every field of knowledge.

You should read up on spiritism. They don't like the term "ghost", but the effect is pretty similar. Also, a huge chunk of Brazilian society definitely acts accordingly on a daily basis. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiritism
