Pro tip: if someone says they're 'very concerned' about climate change, ask them if they're more worried about permafrost melting or about methane clathrate melting. If they don't have an answer ready, they weren't 'concerned' enough to learn much about climate change.

True, and the science denied on the right pertains to more serious, existential issues, such as climate change (isn't that this thread?) At this moment the moral choice is pretty clear. Once we have a decent climate response, then the left's weaknesses become more pressing.

Science denial on the left includes paranoia about nuclear power, which is one of the few peacock things we can do that will have a big impact on ghg emissions. It will also lower pollution.

One side ignores the overwhelming consensus of relatively hard science while the other tends to disagree with one particular side of arguments in relatively soft sciences over which much controversy remains. These things are not the same. Also, I loved "Spent" & enjoy EvoPsych.
